List Building - How to Create a Free Giveaway Ebook

What I like to see for a free giveaway ebook is about 7-10 pages of content converted into a pdf. What I do is I go through the old articles that I've written, and I find seven to ten articles that are about the topic that I'm going to write that e-book on, and I organize those 7-10 articles in an orderly fashion.
And then I give it a title that fits that collection of 7-10- articles. I do not put a lot of work into those free giveaways, you know. And don't get me wrong, I probably could put some more work into them and who knows, maybe I'd close more people on the back end, you know if I did.
And, maybe the day will come when I do. But I think that something that holds people back from getting that first giveaway product is it takes them a month to think about exactly how they want that e-book to look; how they're going to write each page; and it's like this huge project. Really, that free giveaway product should be something you can do in an afternoon. If you don't have 7 articles out there, write yourself five articles that are related to your topic, file them together into a free e-book, convert it into a pdf, and that's your free e-book that you give away. And if you don't like it, that's fine.
Redo it next month when you have more time, but for today, you need that free giveaways. I'm going to send them from the article to a free giveaway. They have to sign up to my list to get the free product, to get into my site, anything. They have to give me their name and their email address.
Now, my idea on this is: if you don't trust me enough to give me your name and email address, you probably don't trust me enough to give me your credit card number and the expiration date so I can process the transaction.
